Ronaldo Scores His 4th Hat Trick of the Saudi Pro League Season as Al Nassr Hit Al Wehda for Six

Cristiano Extends Good Form With Another Hat Trick

Cristiano Ronaldo extended his goal tally this season to 32 goals in the Saudi Pro League with a superb hat trick against Al Wehda, which means that he is just two goals short of Abderrazak Hamdallah’s record tally of 34 goals struck in the 2018-19 season.

The Portuguese international has two matches this season to beat this record, and he will be champing at the bit as Al Nassr looks to seal qualification into the AFC Champions League and their status as the best team this season behind runaway leaders Al Hilal.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner opened his scoring in Riyadh in the fifth minute as Al Nassr quickly began the match and immediately established dominance. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star got his second seven minutes later as he headed home a sumptuous cross from Marcelo Brozovic.

Ronaldo secured his hat trick in the early parts of the second half when his shot from just inside the area crept into the back of the net.

The hat trick was the highlight of a brilliant performance from Al Nassr, who secured their seventh consecutive win in the Saudi Pro League. The win moved the nine-time SPL champions to nine points behind leaders Al Hilal, who have a match in hand and visit Al Ahli on Monday.

On his part, Ronaldo will hope to extend his scintillating form in the Saudi Pro League as he looks to break the record for the most goals in the league in a season in the remaining two outings for Al Nassr.
