Vinícius Júnior Leaves Saudi Pro League Possibility Open With the Real Madrid Forward Set to Decide on His Future at the End of the 2024-25 Season

Vinicius Junior is not closing the door on Saudi, but he'll be a Real Madrid player, at least for this season.

Vinícius Júnior joining one of the Saudi Pro League’s top clubs remains a possibility, but that decision will be made at the end of this season. With Real Madrid’s season underway, the Brazilian forward has told those within his circles that his focus will only be on having a successful season with Los Blancos in the 2024-25 season. However, the door is not closed, and he’ll assess his options at the end of the season.

Vinícius Júnior is in the running for the Ballon d’Or this season having played a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s title win and Champions League triumph last season. He’ll want to maintain his favorite status by plying his trade in Europe this season. With his contract running until June 2027, the 24-year-old is in no hurry to decide on his future.

As previously reported, Vinícius Júnior received a five-year contract offer from PIF representatives that would pay him a mouthwatering € 1 billion. However, the forward turned it down with no indication that he would be willing to discuss it.

Regardless of his decision, the Saudi PIF will still have to deal with Real Madrid, which has shown no indication that it would be open to negotiating Vini’s € 1 billion release clause. That means that if he signals that he’s open to the move next summer, the PIF will need to either come up with the funds or try and see if they can convince the Real Madrid hierarchy to accept a lower amount.
