The Plan for the Remaining Fixtures Announced by the Saudi Pro League Competiton Department
The Saudi Pro League (SPL) Competitions Department has released the plan and schedules of the remaining rounds of fixtures, ranging from matchday 31 to matchday 34.
The release of the schedule sets the stage for the conclusion of the 2023-24 season of the SPL. Al Hilal looks to book the title, Al Nassr looks to secure second place, and several teams jostle for third spot.
Matchday 31 will kick off on Thursday, May 9, with three games occurring daily on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The pick of the bunch in this round is the Asir Derby between Abha and Damac, scheduled for May 10.
Matchday 32 follows a similar pattern to Matchday 31, with nine matches occurring between Thursday, May 16, and Saturday, May 18. The pick of the matches in this round is the Riyadh Derby between league leaders Al Hilal and second-placed Al Nassr. This clash will occur on May 17 at the Al Awwal Park.
The SPL has also scheduled all matches in matchdays 33 and 34 to kick off simultaneously. Matchweek 33 will kick off at 21:00 local time on Thursday, May 23, whereas matchday 34, the final matchweek of the season, will kick off at 21:00 on Monday, May 27.
The SPL has planned the remainder of the games straightforwardly due to the absence of any Saudi Pro League clubs in the AFC Champions League after Al Hilal was knocked out by the United Arab Emirates’ Al Ain in the semi-final stage.
This leaves the remaining part of the season to focus on the title’s conclusion and the SPL’s top three. Meanwhile, the relegation battle will heat up in the final rounds of fixtures.
