Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema Add to the Intrigue of the Asian Champions League

Ronaldo and Others to Make AFC Champions League Debut

The AFC Champions League will take center stage this week as Saudi Pro League sides will take their attention off the domestic competition and focus on clashes with teams from across the continent.

Cristiano Ronaldo will travel to Tehran with his Al-Nassr side to face Iranian side Persepolis in a group-stage clash on Tuesday.

Al-Hilal will welcome Navbahor to the King Fahd International Stadium for their group stage opener. Navbahor, from Uzbekistan, will look to cause an upset coming up against the illustrious names lining up for the Saudi Pro League leaders, including Brazilian Neymar.

Karim Benzema’s Al-Ittihad will open their group stage in the AFC Champions League at home against AVMK on Monday.

These three superstars in these Saudi clubs have set their sights on success in the AFC Champions League. They hope to inspire their sides through the group stages and into the knockouts, eventually making it to the final and a chance to lift the silverware.

The AFC Champions League will get added scrutiny because of the prestige the Saudi Pro League clubs will bring.
