Mitrovic scores on Debut as Al-Hilal Thrash Al-Raed in the Saudi Pro League

Al-Hilal beat Al-Raed by 4-0 away from home in their 3rd league game of the season in the Saudi Championship.

The game’s first goal was scored by Mitrovic in the 42nd minute of the first half after a cross by Rúben Neves. After his landmark move from EPL side Fulham, the Serbian striker was making his debut for Al-Hilal in this game. 

Al-Dawsari extended the lead for Al-Hilal by converting a penalty in the 11th minute of the second half. He also scored Al-Hilal’s third goal after a solo play by Malcom. Al-Hamdan closed the scoring with a goal in the 44th minute of the second half.

Overall, Al-Hilal completely dominated the game and created more scoring opportunities. At the beginning of the second half, when the game was 1-0 for the visitors, Al-Raed almost equalized with González’s strike hitting the post. But soon after, Al-Hilal returned to impose itself and scored three goals in 14 minutes.

With the victory, Al-Hilal now have 7 points and rose to third place in the league standings. On the other hand, Al-Raed still hasn’t managed to score and occupies the last position on the table.
