After Turning 39, Cristiano Ronaldo Sends “Grateful” Message to Al-Nassr and the Saudi Pro League
In a post on Instagram, Cristiano Ronaldo said: “Grateful to spend my 39th birthday the best way possible: with my family and back on the training pitch. Thank you all for the warm messages!”
His birthday came as he prepares to return from injury and rejoin his teammates in the Saudi Pro League. Although he has turned 39, his age does not seem to be an impediment. The Portuguese international is not showing any signs of slowing down or considering ending his playing career.
Ronaldo is still posting brilliant numbers. He has notched 20 goals in 18 matches for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League and the AFC Champions League, as Al-Nassr have qualified for the knockout rounds.
Al-Nassr fans will be happy to hear that their talisman is back on the training pitch. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United player has been missing with an injury in recent weeks. He will be pushing for involvement when Al-Nassr takes on Al-Feiha in the AFC Champions League later this month.
Ronaldo will also hope to retain his fitness for the rest of the season with the Euros coming up and Portugal drawn alongside Turkey and the Czech Republic in Group F.
