Portugal’s Otavio Joins Ronaldo at Al-Nassr in High-profile €60m Deal

Al-Nassr Announces Otávio’s Signing from Porto

In another big transfer move involving Al-Nassr, Portuguese midfielder Otavio has swapped Portuguese side Porto to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr. The club announced the deal on Tuesday evening, and local reports suggest the transfer fee is close to €60 million.

At 28 years old, Otavio brings a wealth of experience to Al-Nassr. His tenure at Porto, which began in 2014, saw him contribute 31 goals in 283 games across various competitions.

Otavio’s arrival further strengthens Al Nassr’s squad, boasting big names in football, such as fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles, and Seko Fofana. With this blend of international talent, Al Nassr hopes to stamp its mark in the Saudi Pro League and beyond this season, with fan expectations already boosted by recent arrivals.

The sale to Al-Nassr is the biggest in the history of the Portuguese club, surpassing the 50 million euros received from Real Madrid by Brazilian defender Éder Militão.
