Kevin De Bruyne is a Considering Potential Shock Move to Saudi Arabia in the Summer
Kevin De Bruyne has been a pivotal cog in Pep Guardiola’s successful side in recent seasons. The Belgian’s current contract with the Cityzens is set to run to 2025, which means that by the summer of 2024, he could reevaluate his options in the market.
However, given De Bruyne’s pivotal role for Man City, the recent rumors linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League have been sensational.
Rudy Galetti is reporting that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) is renewing their interest in signing Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne in the summer. According to Galetti, a PIF delegation has contacted De Bruyne, reiterating their interest in his services and that he is the main target for next season.
De Bruyne has not been involved much this season; the 32-year-old has appeared once in the Premier League as he picked up a muscle injury in Man City’s opener against Burnley, subsequently undergoing surgery.
However, De Bruyne returned to training recently and was included in the matchday squad against Sheffield on December 30. As he works his way back to fitness, the 32-year-old Belgian will also consider the wide range of options available to him and the potentially coming mega offer from Saudi Arabia’s PIF in the summer.
