Cristiano Ronaldo Hit 21 Saudi Pro League Goals Over The Weekend As Al Nassr Won 2-1 Against Al Fateh
Age-defying Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo is not showing any signs of slowing down. Despite an injury keeping him out of the much-touted “Last Dance” match against Inter Miami a few weeks ago, he marked the return of the Saudi Pro League with a goal in the 17th minute.
Making no mistake, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner slotted the goal home with a first-time shot after a delicious Sultan Al Ghannam pass. This was his 21st league goal this season which makes him the top scorer with Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic two goals behind him. Al Fateh responded 12 minutes later with a Salem Al Najdi equalizer which gave the visitors confidence to grow into the match.
For most of the match, Al Nassr struggled to convert their chances against Al Fateh. Just as it was looking like the hosts would fall further back in their chase of Al Hilal for the league title, Otavio struck in the 72nd minute to make it 2-1. With Al Hilal not slowing down, all Cristiano and his teammates can do is ensure they get three points in every match and hope they’ll be there to catch up when the league leader falter.
