Saudi Clubs Eying Manchester United Captain Bruno Fernandes
The Saudi Pro League is looking for the biggest names in world football to add to Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Karim Benzema. Bruno Fernandes fits the mold and is being targeted by PIF, the owner of the marquee clubs in the SPL.
Fernandes, who signed in 2020, has replaced Harry Maguire as club captain as he has made 200 appearances for the Red Devils and grabbed 67 goals.
If a move materializes, it could be a major blow for Manchester United, who would be remiss to lose their best player on current form.
Given his importance to the Red Devils and their hopes to turn their season around in the Premier League and the Champions League, the powers at Manchester United are unlikely to entertain the possibility of a winter move.
However, it remains to be seen what Bruno Fernandes and his camp will do and how they will react to a potential mouth-watering offer from the Saudi Pro League when the window opens in January.
