Neymar is Tuning in to Al-Hilal Games; The Brazilian is Supporting His Saudi Pro League Side’s AFC Champions League Clash Despite ACL Injury Ruling Him Out
Neymar posted a photograph showing him turning in to watch his side Al-Hilal play in the AFC Champions League from home.
Al-Hilal went on to win the game 2-0 and booked their place in the last 16 of the AFC Champions League tournament.
Al-Hilal did it the hard way, with Salem Al-Dawsari missing two penalties before the took the lead from a Malcom strike.
Neymar’s Brazilian compatriot came off the bench to score with his first touch. Al-Dawsari then made up for the missed penalties by sealing victory with a lob over the goalkeeper.
Neymar is on the recovery path after undergoing surgery on an ACL injury. He is expected to be sidelined for up to 10 months for Al-Hilal and Brazil.
Jorge Jesus’s side have had to cope without the Brazilian marquee summer signing; however, they have not shown any signs of dropping their level or slowing down. They lead the Saudi Pro League by four points, and they won 9-0 last weekend, showing significant fire power.
Neymar will continue his recovery process but is likely to miss the entire season for Al-Hilal.
