Neymar Set to Earn €300 Million in 2 Years as Brazilian Forward Leaves PSG for Al Hilal
In a groundbreaking transfer, Neymar Jr has officially joined Al Hilal. The deal for the former PSG player, 31, is understood to be worth about 90m euros (£77.6m) plus add-ons.
The Brazilian superstar’s move marks a significant step in the Saudi revolution that has seen prominent names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Riyad Mahrez embrace the Saudi Pro League.
He will reportedly earn 150m euros (£129.2m) a year in Saudi Arabia – six times the amount he earned at PSG – having signed a two-year contract.
Al Hilal’s chairman, Fahad bin Saad, described Neymar as “a global icon” and “an unstoppable attacking force” in welcoming him to the club.
Neymar’s arrival at Al Hilal underscores the club’s ambition for the coming season as they seek to compete for top honors. Neymar’s new team-mates include ex-Wolves captain Ruben Neves, former Chelsea center-back Kalidou Koulibaly, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, formerly of Lazio, who were all signed for hefty fees.
