Moussa Diaby Set to Leave to Saudi Arabia After One Year at Aston Villa
One year after arriving at Aston Villa, the club has decided it’s time for Moussa Diaby to pack his bag and leave for Saudi Arabia. Saudi giant Al-Attihad has approached the Premier League club and enquired about Diaby’s situation, interested in his services.
Recent reports claim that Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has approved the move, which is rumoured to be up to 50 million pounds.
Moussa Diaby arrived in an exciting move from Bayer Leverkusen last season for a similar amount, meaning that moving on from Diaby would balance Aston Villa’s books. He featured more than fifty times for the club but only registered ten goal contributions.
Saudi interest isn’t new in the player, as Aston Villa competed with Al-Nassr last year for Diaby. It was Villa who finally brought him to the UK, but it looks like he will be headed to Saudi Arabia very soon according to recent reports.
