Manchester City Reject Al Nassr’s €30M Bid for Ederson, Hold out for Their Asking Price of €42M

Ederson Clears the Ball in a Past Match for Manchester City

Al Nassr will need to up their bid to get their man after Manchester City insisted that €30 million is insufficient to allow their star goalkeeper, Ederson, to leave. Instead, the English Premier League champions hold out for €42 million, with the player happy to stay should suitors fail to meet the price.

According to reports, Ederson is keen on the move but will not pressure Man City to accept bids below their valuation. With the options for world-class goalkeepers in the transfer market thin, Man City are set to hold talks with Ederson to convince him to stay.

Al Nassr has reportedly proposed attractive personal terms that have convinced the 30-year-old to consider the move seriously. The figure being touted is a reported £900,000 in weekly wages, but there is no official confirmation.

Manchester City are set to offer the Brazilian shot-stopper improved terms with a £250,000 weekly wage. However, the English club is aware of the huge gap in the ability to offer attractive personal terms but will count on the competitiveness of the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League to convince Ederson to stay.

For now, it seems like a matter of time before Al Nassr prepare a second, much-improved bid to get Manchester City to let Ederson leave for the Saudi Pro League.
