Brazilian Striker Malcom on the Double as Al Hilal Stretches Winning Streak to 31 in 1-4 at Al Khaleej
Brazilian forward Malcom helped Al Hilal extend their winning run to 31 games with a brace against Al Khaleej on Friday.
Al Hilal positively started the game with a Saleh Al Shehri goal in the 7th minute after Al Khaleej goalkeeper Ibrahim Sehic failed to clear his lines properly. Two minutes later, the host made it 1-1 with Mohamed Sherif heading a Fabio Martins cross pass Al Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bono. The league were unlucky not to make it 2-1 in the 38th minute when Al Shehri failed to convert a Malcolm pass.
In the 42nd minute, Malcol opted to take matters into his own hands by scoring after a great Sergej Milinkovic-Savic pass. He doubled his efforts in the 48th minute with a volley just as Al Khaleej were getting settled in the second half. Later, the Brazilian thought he was going home with the matchball after completing his hattrick but was judged to be offside and the goal ruled out.
Al Hilal got their 4th through a penalty in the 96th minute and Abdullah Al Hamdan confidently gave the Al Khaleej goalkeeper no chance with his well taken Panenka.
