Laporte Set to Become Al Nassr’s Fifth Signing as Manchester City and Saudi Club Agree Deal for Spanish Centerback
Aymeric Laporte’s transfer to Al Nassr has been finalized, marking a significant addition to the squad’s defense as they aim to challenge for the Saudi Pro League in the upcoming season.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has been successfully reached between City and Al Nassr, with the player also accepting and willing to join the Saudi Arabian club. Laporte will earn a salary of over £21m per season, showcasing the substantial commitment from both sides to the deal.
The next steps include Laporte’s medical assessment, scheduled for Monday in Saudi Arabia. Upon completing the medical process, the Spanish defender is set to sign a contract that will bind him to Al Nassr until June 2026.
As part of the deal, Manchester City is anticipated to receive a comprehensive package valued at nearly €30 million. Laporte will be the fifth signing of Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club in Saudi Arabia, in the current transfer window. The Spaniard joins Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles and Seko Fofana.
