Everton’s Demarai Grey on the Verge of Joining the Saudi Pro League Side Al Ettifaq

Everton Reach Agreement to Sell Demarai Grey to Al Ettifaq

Reports in English media indicate that Everton have agreed on a deal with Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq Shabab to transfer Jamaican international Demarai Grey.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that the Demarai Grey to Al Ettifaq deal was inching toward the final stages, with the player expected to sign a four-year deal as the latest addition to Steven Gerrard’s side.

Everton manager Sean Dyche has not selected Grey in their opening four matches in the English Premier League, highlighting the eagerness for a deal for the player and the two sides.

Al Ettifaq will add the pacey Jamaican international to their attack, introducing a new dimension of pace and directness as they attack the Saudi Pro League this season.

Demarai Grey’s move also highlights the growing pulling power of the Saudi Pro League, even with the transfer window in Europe closed.

This means that sides in European leagues must contend with potential moves to the Saudi Pro League, turning their players’ heads, even as the seasons have kicked off in earnest.
