Demarai Gray Nearing Al Shabab Move as Verbal Agreement Reached with Everton
Reports suggest that Everton’s Jamaican international, Demarai Gray, is on the cusp of joining Saudi Pro League outfit Al Shabab, with a verbal agreement in principle being confirmed between the two clubs.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed that Everton and Al Shabab had reached an understanding for the transfer of Gray, who notably contributed six goals across 36 appearances for Everton in the previous season under Dyche’s management.
Al Shabab’s pursuit of Gray is evident, as the two clubs have already agreed upon a club-to-club deal. Saudi sources confirm that discussions are set to move forward, shifting focus towards personal terms.
The Jamaican international has not featured in either of the Toffees’ opening two Premier League games, and Sean Dyche appears ready to let him move on to raise transfer funds. The Birmingham-born winger has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park for much of the summer, with both Crystal Palace and Besiktas rumored to be interested in signing him.
