No Saudi Respite For Manchester United Outcast Jadon Sancho – Michael Emenalo

Emenalo: Saudi Pro League Won’t Become Dumping Group

In an interview that covered a wide range of topics about the Saudi Pro League’s transfer activities, the league’s director of football, Michael Emenalo, had time to respond to rumors of Jadon Sancho making the switch to the Middle East.

Having fallen out with Eric Ten Hag, Sancho has been restricted to training with the youth team. On his part, Ten Hag has consistently said that all Sancho needs to do to return to the first team is apologize. The England international is biding his time to wait for the transfer window to open and leave for another club.

However, Jadon Sancho will have to cancel any relocation plans to the Middle East. Said Emenalo, “We also don’t want to be regarded as a dumping ground for players that didn’t work in other clubs.” Given the size of his Manchester United contract, especially weekly wages, Sancho has struggled to attract suitors. Top European clubs are unwilling to pay his wages to take him on loan.

The Saudi Pro League seems to be changing tactics to focus on players who can add value and quality to the growing league. With its profile raised with the likes of Cristiano, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, and Neymar, there is no rush to target players for publicity purposes.
