Cristiano Ronaldo Continues to Soar into the History Books with His Latest Showing in the Saudi Pro League

Cristiano’s Assist in Al Hilal Draw Sets a Goal Involvements Record

Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo extended his brilliant form and enhanced his sublime individual season by climbing into the record books in the Saudi Pro League after his latest exploits in Al Nassr’s 1-1 draw against newly crowned SPL champions Al Hilal.

The Portuguese international leads the goal-scoring charts with 33 goals in the 2023-24 season. The Al Nassr captain added to his 11 assists when he helped Otavio give his side the lead within 25 seconds and give Al Nassr the lead.

The assist means that Ronaldo has climbed to a level of his own with the most goal contributions, including goals and assists, in a single SPL season, ahead of any player who has ever played in the Saudi Pro League.

The record was held by Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 43 goal involvements in the 2018-19 season and was also playing for Al Nassr at the time. Ronaldo’s tally currently stands at 44 goal involvements, giving him the record.

Ronaldo’s brilliant season has helped Al Nassr soar to second on the table, especially after a terrible start to the season that left Al Hilal with too big a lead to overhaul. His form will also encourage Al Nassr fans that he could be instrumental next season as they set about winning the Saudi Pro League title from Al Hilal.
