Cristiano Ronaldo Continues His Red-Hot Form For Al-Nassr With His 16th Goal of the Season
Cristiano Ronaldo continued his fantastic form in the Saudi Pro League as Al-Nassr overcame Al-Wehda 1-3 to solidify their hold on second post on the table and kept pace with leaders Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo grabbed the third goal in a comfortable away win, with Alex Telles and Abdulelah Al-Amri getting the other goals.
The Portuguese superstar continued his fine form this season for Al-Nassr, where he has scored 16 goals in all competitions. The 38-year-old has 13 goals in 12 matches so far, keeping him above his former Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema in the top scorer standings in the SPL.
Al-Ittihad’s Benzema had grabbed a headline-catching hat-trick the previous day to get his struggling side back to winning ways. The goal at Al-Wehda, which came because of a mistake at the back for the home team, was Ronaldo’s second in consecutive matches.
Ronaldo and Al-Nassr will be back in SPL action at home to Al Akhdoud after the international break, before visiting Al Hilal in a top-of-the-table blockbuster clash the following Friday.
