Cristiano Ronaldo Scores as Al Nassr Qualify for the Semi-Finals of the Arab Champions Cup
Thanks to a beautiful goal by Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr beat Raja Casablanca from Morocco 3-1 this Sunday and secured themselves a place in the semifinal of the Arab Champions Cup. This prestigious competition sees top-division clubs from North Africa and the Middle East vying for glory. The Portuguese star’s team will now face Shorta from Iran in a tie to be played on Wednesday.
In addition to Cristiano Ronaldo, Fofana and Al-Ghannam scored the other goals for Al Nassr, a team managed by Portuguese Manager Luis Castro. The team also had stars like Sadio Mané and Marcelo Brozovic on the field and Brazilians Alex Telles and Anderson Talisca, who provided assists in the triumph.In the other semifinal, Al-Hilal, led by coach Jorge Jesus, will face Al-Shabab, who beat Al-Wahda on penalties this Sunday. Both semifinals will be held as a single game. Al-Hilal eliminated Al-Ittihad, led by former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, in the previous phase with a goal from Brazilian Malcom, ex-Corinthians, and recently signed to Russia’s Zenit St. Petersburg.
