Cristiano Ronaldo Back in Training With Al Nassr After International Break Where Portugal Lost to Slovenia
Cristiano Ronaldo is back in Riyadh training with Al Nassr in preparation for their next match against Al-Tai. He will hope to find his scoring boots that were absent in the 2-0 loss against Slovenia.
Portugal’s manager, Roberto Martinez, opted to rest Ronaldo for the Sweden match, which Portugal won 5-2. Cristiano was back in action against Slovenia and was a significant threat to the Slovenian defense throughout the match.
However, with playmakers Bruno Fernandez and Bernardo Silva missing the game, Ronaldo lacked quality chances, which frustrated him. His frustrations were evident as he spent much time complaining to the officials. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner only had one clear chance that he fired wide.
With Anderson Talisca out for the rest of the season, Al Nassr will look to Cristiano Ronaldo to score the goals. Hopefully, his international form will not be transferred to the Saudi Pro League. While Al Nassr is 12 points behind leader Al Hilal, they will still want to finish the season strongly as they build their competency for the next season.
