Cristiano Ronaldo Plans Saudi Pro League Stay as He Eyes the 2026 World Cup Swansong
Cristiano Ronaldo, 38, is planning to be a part of the 2026 World Cup, jointly held by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The Al-Nassr forward plans this World Cup to be his final appearance on the international stage.
His current deal at Al-Nassr runs until the summer of 2025. The Portuguese captain plans to extend his stay at the Saudi Pro League side beyond the current length of the contract. This means he is open to penning a new deal and will run well into 2026.
According to reports from Saudi Arabia, as reported by the Daily Mail, Ronaldo has informed Al-Nassr he is ready to sign an extension to run until 2027, giving him a perch from which he will launch his and Portugal’s World Cup campaign.
