Raphinha Pours Cold Water On Reports Linking Him To A Saudi Pro League Move, Commits to Staying at Barcelona

Brazilian Forward Raphinha Set On Staying At Barcelona

With La Liga giant Barcelona short of funds and desperate to reduce their wage bill, a move to the Saudi Pro League has been considered for Brazilian forward Raphinha. However, the striker seems to be ruling out a move to any of the Saudi clubs that will undoubtedly interest him.

Speaking after scoring a brace in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals clash against French giants PSG, Raphinha expressed an interest in staying at Barcelona until the end of his contract. He said, “I have a few more years on my contract, and I plan to fulfill them. He went on to wax lyrical about Barcelona saying, “I have already said many times that signing for Barcelona was a dream, and I will do everything possible to stay here for many years.”

With his contract running until 2027, it seems Raphinha will remain at Barcelona for the next few years. However, he is currently not a guaranteed starter, and with the club expected to make signings to remain competitive, his starting chances may continue to decline. It is still possible that he will change his mind about making the Saudi move, but it is unlikely to be this upcoming summer.
