Al Hilal’s Formal Approach for João Félix Loan Rejected by Atlético Madrid
In a recent development, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal has made a formal bid to Atlético Madrid for a loan deal involving João Félix. However, the offer has been rejected, as Atlético’s priority remains to secure a permanent transfer for the talented Portuguese player.
Knowing that Diego Simeone does not have João Félix in his plans and that Atlético Madrid is asking for €15 million for the loan (last season Chelsea paid €11 million to have the Portuguese striker in the second half of the season), and that no European club is willing to come forward with that money for a season, the Saudis stepped in.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that João Félix’s aspirations revolve around a potential move to Barcelona, a club he dreams of representing. Notably, he seems open to temporarily moving to Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, but only on a loan basis.
Despite Atlético’s refusal, Al Hilal, under the guidance of Jorge Jesus, shows unwavering determination to secure João Félix’s services. The club is expected to persist in its efforts, aiming to convince Atlético and the player of the benefits of a loan stint in Saudi Arabia.
As negotiations and discussions unfold, the football world watches with interest to see if Al Hilal’s pursuit will eventually yield positive results. The tug-of-war between the Saudi club’s aspirations and João Félix’s desire to remain in Europe adds an intriguing layer to this evolving transfer saga.
