Aston Villa Target Al-Hilal Elite Right Back
During the summer transfer window, Aston Villa expressed interest in signing Al-Hilal right back Saud Abdulhamid. The 24-year-old has been on the radars of several European clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Roma, and Toulouse.
The Villans have reached the official representatives of Abdulhamid but official talks have yet to begin. The defender has a contract with Al-Hilal until 2025 and this summer will be a pivotal period to capitalise on his value.
Al-Hillal is motivated to retain Abdulhamid, but many teams are currently willing to sign the youngster. He is a strong, agile right-back who can solve Aston Villa’s defensive issues. Currently, they only have Matty Cash for this position.
The Villans have qualified for the Champions League during the 2023/2024 season. They will probably need players for rotation and Saud Abdulhamid is one of them. However, the Saudi giants are ready to offer him a new contract with better conditions.
