Junior Pedroso: Man United Have Not Suggested They Could Sell Antony To A Saudi Club In January Or The Summer

Antony’s Agent Pours Cold Water On Winger’s Saudi Links

After joining Manchester United for €95 million from Ajax, a lot was expected from Ajax, with the English Premier League side lacking talent on the right wing. While he showed promise early on in his Man United career, Antony has since struggled both on and off the pitch.

Off the pitch, he’s had to deal with legal trouble regarding allegations of domestic violence. The club decided to drop him from the team until the authorities in both Brazil and Manchester cleared him. Since coming back to the team, he’s struggled to make any impact on the team, leading to suggestions that the Red Devils may be looking to cash out by offering him to Saudi Pro League clubs.

However, his agent, Junior Pedroso, has refuted stories linking his client to a Saudi move during the winter window or later in the summer. Pedroso is quoted as saying, “We’ve not received any information or communication from Manchester United about Antony and his potential transfer for January or summer window.”

With Antony breaking his scoring duck over the weekend with a goal and assist against League 2 opposition in the FA Cup, it seems he will not be joining the Saudi Pro League for now.
