Talisca Player of the Month After Five Goals But Suffers Season-Ending Thigh Injury
After an eventful February, Anderson Talisca is the Saudi Pro League’s player of the month. The award is bound to be a painful reminder of what he could have gone on to produce for the remainder of the season.
The Brazilian forward is now sidelined due to a thigh injury expected to keep him out of action for the rest of the season. Talisca had an impactful February, with the highlight being the Al Hazem hat trick.
With Cristiano Ronaldo missing out on the match due to suspension, Talisca stepped up and delivered for Al Nassr in attack. He was, however, unlucky not to walk away with three points after Al Nassr failed to solidify its defense and stop Al Hazem from scoring four, leading to a draw.
Talisca also scored two goals in February, bringing his tally to five for the month. Al Nassr will undoubtedly miss the attacker, given his significant contribution to the team. The Brazilian’s tally for the season is 25 goals, with 16 of them scored in the league.
