Yannick Carrasco is the Man Leading Al Shabab’s Resurgence in the Saudi Pro League

Al Shabab Continued Late-Season Resurgence Al Raed Win

Yannick Carrasco scored his sixth goal and grabbed his sixth assist for Al Shabab, helping them overcome Al Raed 2-0 and jump up to sixth in a remarkable recovery in the Saudi Pro League.

When Carrasco arrived at Al Shabab, the side were in the relegation zone and struggling badly. He has been the catalyst as the team’s form and performances have improved markedly in the season’s latter stages.

In their last five outings, Al Shabab have won four times and drawn once, collecting 13 points out of the available 15.

This red-hot form has seen them climb steadily from the relegation zone and up to the heady high of sixth on the table with 41 points, with four matches remaining.

Although they might be unable to reel in Al-Ittihad in fifth, who are nine points away, Yannick Carrasco and his side will look to continue their brilliant form into the remaining matches of the season and ensure they can finish as high on the table as possible.

Al Shabab will need to keep up their form in the run-in to keep their position since they are sixth by virtue of goal difference. Four teams are on the table with 41 points alongside Al Shabab: Al Fateh, Al Ettifaq, and Al Feyha.

Damac in 10th have 38 points, just three behind 6th, whereas Al Khaleej in 11th have 36 points, 5 points behind 6th with 12 points left to play for in the season.

Yannick Carrasco will need to continue his brilliant form to help Al Shabab win more matches in the remaining rounds of fixtures.
