Al Qadsiah Battling With AS Roma, AC Milan, and Juventus for the Signature of Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata Celebrates His Goal For Spain At Euro 2024.

Saudi Pro League newcomers Al Qadsiah are moving fast in the transfer market and are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid. The Spanish international has attracted interest from top clubs in Serie A, including AS Roma, AC Milan, and Juventus.

Morata, 31, is unsettled in the Spanish capital. Reports of the club targeting strikers this summer make him believe he does not feature in the club’s long-term plans. He was a key figure in Diego Simeone’s side in the 2023-24 season, making 32 league appearances and scoring 15 goals.

Morata has a €15 million release clause, but it is likely that Atletico will be open to negotiating it down to €10 – €12 million. The forward has played before in Serie A, having signed for Juventus twice and made  131 appearances. For this reason, top Serie A clubs have considered him an affordable option.

However, reports indicate that Aramco-backed Al Qadsiah are the favorites to secure his signature. Having signed his fellow Spanish international Nacho, Al Qadsiah are confident they can add Morata to their squad to ensure they are competitive next season. The forward is currently on international duty with Spain and has one goal to his name so far.
