Al-Nassr on the March; Talisca Double with Cristiano Assisting Sends Al-Nassr Second on the Saudi Pro League

Al-Nassr Moved Closer to Leaders Al-Hilal With a 3-1 Win

Anderson Talisca was the hero for Al-Nassr as his brace propelled the Yellows to a 3-1 win over Al Feiha on Saturday.

The win was the 13th in 14 matches for the Yellows as they have stepped up their form, performances, and results, en route to second on the Saudi Pro League table and just four points behind leaders Al-Hilal.

Al-Nassr’s current form, especially their goalscoring exploits and the firepower provided by Cristiano Ronaldo and now Talisca, make them the most potent challengers to the hitherto unchallenged march of Al-Hilal to the title.

The two consecutive defeats for Al-Nassr at the beginning of this season have emphatically been buried as sterling performances have emerged to the fore and led Al-Nassr to rise through the table up to second behind Al-Hilal.

The win also came after Al-Nassr had beaten Al-Duhail of Qatar 4-3 in the Asian Champions League on Monday. There was no sign of fatigue or loss of appetite for a fight among Al-Nassr players.

Although he was not on the scoresheet, Cristiano Ronaldo was involved, perhaps inevitably, with an assist for Talisca. Ronaldo and Talisca, alongside Sadio Mane, who had a goal ruled out for offside, struck up a brilliant understanding that was the driving force behind Al-Nassr’s form and moved to second.

The Yellows will look to maintain their sterling form as they take the fight to the Blues at the top of the Saudi Pro League.
