Casemiro Or Aaron Wan Bissaka? Al Nassr Reportedly Looking at Signing Two Manchester United Players
With Seko Fofana being targeted to replace Jordan Henderson at Al Ettifaq, Al Nassr may have to sign an extra midfielder to keep their momentum in fighting for the title. One of their key players, Cristiano Ronaldo, has suggested that the club secure the services of Carlos Henrique José Francisco Venâncio Casimiro, popularly known as Casemiro, from Manchester United.
The pair played together at Real Madrid, winning multiple silverware. At Manchester United, they only managed to play a handful of games together before the five-time Ballon d’Or winner left the club.
The new owners at Man United are looking to trim the wage bill, with Casemiro being one of the players flagged for being paid high wages but not playing enough games to justify them. Cristiano has suggested to Al Nassr that the Brazilian would be a great addition to their midfield. However, there is no indication of contact between the two clubs regarding the matter.
Al Nassr, however, may still hope to conduct business with Man United with their eyes on Aaron Wan Bissaka. The tough-tackling full-back has fallen the pecking order at Man United, playing second fiddle to Portuguese Diogo Dalot, whose modern approach to being a full-back is better suited to Eric Ten Hag’s tactics.
Al Nassr will try to sign the fullback to strengthen their squad. His energy, tackling accuracy, and willingness to join attacks will provide an injection of energy to the squad. Wan Bissaka recently also showed his versatility by playing in the left-back position, and such adaptability will present Al Nassr with options. Given Man United’s squad depth, it is unlikely that the club will let him go in the January window, but Al Nassr can certainly lay the groundwork for both signings in the summer.
