Al-Ittihad to Sign Algerian Houssem Aouar from Roma
With the heated summer transfer window, Saudi Pro League top-tier teams are preparing to add more high-profile footballers. According to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ittihad will sign Houssem Aouar from Roma.
The clubs are currently working on finalising the official documents. Aouar, 26, will be leaving AS Roma for a reported fee of 12 million euros plus add-ons.
He was barely used in the previous season, with only 16 Serie A appearances. Moreover, the Algerian midfielder was excluded from the plans of Roma in the upcoming 2024/2025 season.
Aouar has also played for Lyon and was a crucial footballer in their lineup. However, the transfer to Roma failed to live up to expectations.
It is expected that the deal will be finalized soon, and Houssem Aouar will leave the capital of Italy in the coming days. His addition to Al-Ittihad will be a step forward to compete for the Pro League title.
