Reports Link Al Hilal To Barcelona Forward Raphinha With Other Saudi Clubs Also Interested
League leaders Al Hilal are making summer plans to ensure they remain competitive next season. Reports in Spain indicate that Al Hilal is targeting Barcelona forward Raphinha and intends to offer more than the £70 million the Catalan club values him at.
The Brazilian forward, who joined from Leeds at the start of the 2022/23 season, made 57 appearances and scored 11 goals in La Liga. This season, he’s made 21 league appearances, scoring four goals and seven assists.
Raphinha has fallen down the pecking order only starting 12 matches in 29 league games this season. With Barcelona’s finances requiring reducing the wage bill, selling Raphinha to Al Hilal will certainly tempt the powers that be.
However, Al Hilal will need to fend off other Saudi clubs, such as Al Nassr, Al Ahli, and Al Ittihad, which are all interested in the Brazilian. The player has expressed a desire to remain in Europe, particularly at Barcelona, so whichever Saudi club makes the play for him will need to present a tempting offer.
