Neymar’s New Team Agrees Deal for the Transfer of World Cup Standout Goalkeeper Bono from Sevilla
On the same day, the club announced Neymar as its newest arrival, Al Hilal is working on signing Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, known as Bono, who currently plays for Sevilla.
Bono, who shone for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, could join the Saudi Pro League club in a deal worth €19 million, according to journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Bayern Munich was one of those interested in Bono replacing the injured Manuel Neuer. However, it is reported that the German giants have pulled out of the negotiations with Sevilla because they believe that the Saudi club’s offer is much higher and difficult to match.
If the deal is sealed, the goalkeeper will become Neymar’s teammate, whose signing was made official this Tuesday.
Al-Hilal has already added well-known names to their squad, with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Rubén Neves, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic comprising some global stars who have left European football for the Saudi League. Coach Jorge Jesus leads the team.
