Atletico Madrid Rejects First Loan Offer for João Félix from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal
With the signings of Malcom, Rúben Neves, and Milinkovic-Savic, Al-Hilal remains keen to reinforce its team, and their focus has turned to another star name, João Félix, the 23-year-old Portuguese striker who belongs to Atlético de Madrid.
After failing in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe, Al Hilal is now boldly trying to sign Felix, offering a one-year loan deal and a substantial €15m fee to Atletico. Reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicate that Al Hilal has already approached the Portuguese forward and is ready to provide him with a temporary escape from Madrid. However, Felix’s heart seems set on staying in Europe, with his preferred destination being Barcelona.
On the other side of the negotiations, Atletico Madrid appears reluctant to entertain the loan offer and is keen on securing a permanent exit for the talented youngster. Journalist Matteo Moretto suggests that Atletico has rejected Al Hilal’s initial loan offer as they are determined to part ways with Felix through a more definitive transfer.
The situation remains fluid, and Atletico may be open to discussing a potential purchase clause in the deal, but only if Al Hilal remains committed to a long-term arrangement. Joao Felix’s future continues to hang in the balance as the transfer window progresses, with both clubs engaged in critical negotiations.
