Abdelrazzak Hamdallah Gets Whipped By A Fan After 1-4 Loss Against Al Hilal in The Saudi Super Cup
A video posted on social media appears to show a fan yelling at Al Ittihad players after their Saudi Super Cup loss to Al Hilal. The fan then proceeded to strike Morrocan striker Abdelrazzak Hamdallah with a whip before others intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.
The match, played in Abu Dhabi, marked Al Hilal’s first trophy of the season, and league-defending champions Al Ittihad failed to put up enough of an effort to end Al Hilal’s unbeaten run.
So far, neither the player nor the club has addressed the situation or issued any statement relevant to the incident. Hamdallah scored the consolation goal for Al Ittihad, but it was not enough; Al Hilal scored four.
Hamdallah has had a decent playing career in Saudi Arabia. He joined the Saudi Pro League in 2018, long before the PIF and Cristiano Ronaldo-led revolution. He played for Al Nassr until 2022, with his first year being the most productive, with 34 goals and 9 assists.
So far this season, he’s scored 18 goals and assisted 3 times in the league. The incident will undoubtedly be disturbing, but Al Ittihad will hope their star striker can brush it off and keep on delivering on the pitch as the season nears its end.
